Shantiniketan believes that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. We insist on participation in games and exercise for all ages as it instils a sense of team spirit, sportsmanship and teaches coping strategies to deal with success and failure on and off the field. It fosters healthier lifestyles and contributes to children’s mental well-being and to their physical growth. Hence a lot of emphasis is laid by the School on sports and other physical activities. Training and fitness sessions, sporting events, competitions at all levels, Annual Sports Day are a mandated part of our time-table.
